So you can use that standard to weed out vague marketing. But ultimately, you still have to match the product to your specific use case.

The cheapest option is a baseline, not a solution. It’s fine when the failure cost is low. For a water bottle that won’t hurt anything if it drops, maybe a $1.50 glue is good enough. But when a failed bond means a soaked animal, an unhappy client, or a halted production run, price alone is the most expensive way to choose. I still keep a cheap glue in my drawer for junk projects. But for anything that matters, I buy based on total cost.
