Sievers TOC Analyzers enable photovoltaic cell manufacturers to monitor water quality and control particle contamination.

Solar Cells

The photovoltaic (PV) solar cell industry continuously strives to  improve process uniformity and control particle contamination during the manufacturing process. Like the semiconductor and microelectronics industries, the solar cell manufacturing process uses a large amount of water to eliminate particle contamination, reduce defects, and thus maximize process yield. Defects lower the efficiency of each solar cell and generate waste heat.  Low-level monitoring of total organic carbon (TOC) monitoring of water enables photovoltaic manufacturing to detect and correct any contamination early on.

The Sievers 500 RLe On-Line TOC Analyzer was designed for the low-level sensitivity requirements of photovoltaic, semiconductor, display screen and similar industries. Click here to learn more about the Sievers 500 RLe.
