The robust Sievers InnovOx monitors pharmaceutical wastewater with unprecedented uptime.
Wastewater Monitoring
The pharmaceutical industry uses extraordinarily large amounts of water within their manufacturing processes. Water can be used as an ingredient, a cleaning solvent and as a utility. When discussing water quality in the pharmaceutical manufacturing process, it is typically regarded as an ultra-pure water (UPW) topic. However, with increasing awareness by the US Geological Survey (USGS) and the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) that pharmaceutical products are making their way into local municipal wastewater treatment plants, it is becoming ever apparent that more attention needs to be focused on the wastewater conditions.
The Sievers InnovOx Laboratory TOC Analyzer was designed to measure environmental and wastewater samples across a dynamic operating range of 0.5 to 30,000 parts per million (ppm) TOC. The robust InnovOx delivers unprecedented uptime through an innovative Supercritical Water Oxidation (SCWO) technique. SCWO allows it to remove oxidation by-products, salts and particulates from the reactor between each measurement. The InnovOx is easy to maintain and operate, and offers 6-12 months' calibration stability.
