Leakwise systems are ideal for Spill Prevention, Control, and Countermeasure (SPCC) plans.
Regulatory Compliance
TOC Monitoring
In order to discharge treated wastewater and comply with the Clean Water Drinking Act (CWA) a company must have an NPDES (National Pollutant Discharge Elimination System) issued by the EPA or EPA authorized agency. This occurs when a company has proven that they are compliant with the daily pollutant discharge limits set by the CWA, such as by using the Sievers InnovOx TOC Analyzer to monitor water quality. These limits vary depending on the state and tributary into which the water is discharged. For more details, visit the EPA website at www.EPA.gov.
Spill Prevention, Control and Countermeasure (SPCC) Planning
Organizations that have any above-ground or undergound petroleum storage tanks or containments on their site are required to prepare a Spill Prevention, Control and Countermeasure (SPCC) plan. SPCC plans must describe the measures the operator has in place to control oil or hydrocarbon spillage, along with countermeasures to contain and clean up oil spills. Leakwise Oil-on-Water Sensors and Monitoring Systems are ideal tools for SPCC plans. These low-maintenance systems provide reliable and early detection of oil leaks and oil sheens before they become oil leaks.
